CRYSTAL CRISPR:
Calculation, alchemy, chance. The linear surfaces created by splicing found in the CRISPR genetically modified paintings (HERE), in this series are complicated by grown crystals, which refract and reflect light and throw shadows, resulting in variegated, shifting surfaces with lots of detail. Small painting/collage/jewelry/sculpture hybrids.
