Digital Ash

A 75' installation, ash on snow. The first version (see image below) of these were about 30' long, on a frozen lake. They are a combination of buddhist sand mandalas, graffiti, and sumi-e ink paintings. More planned. Below are some previous ash/snow works:

Another Frost Song

Above: honeycomb, song, frost. Hand warmed, breath blown, weather grown. From a bee home, through a piano roll, onto a cottage window. Piano-roll blown song is "i could've danced all night". Prints available.

Drawalkings & (s)no henge

Some para-studio work (or oxymoronically, holiday work.) A series of spontaneous earth/weatherworks, made for the sake of... making & moving. Done by walking, lifting, shuffling, skating, throwing, sliding, kicking, and snowangel-ing, while using ice, shadows, snow, sticks, skates, wind, fog and sun. Most are many hundreds of feet in size. Don’t know if anyone saw them. (Don’t care.) Some were documented, some weren’t. Don’t know how long any of them lasted, but one thing’s for sure: they’re all gone now.
