stopping those people who got offed over by the bus stop? same ol' same ol'. up a jeep pulled boom they got glocked. t.v. showed it whole from the first gunshot. i see the signs all over the city and you know, can't get 'em outta my head. every body and corner everywhere i go all i see is red. the power on my block went down again, out for hours. nothin' works right. at my place now always five past midnight won't change the clock since it stopped. they're all over the place. prowlin' around like a crook, can't get 'em outta my sight. every street and face everywhere i look red light, red red lights. my dog naz ran into the road. driver didn't slow no way, not here. get this, happened near where i found the pup. she licked my hand as i felt her heart stop. this flick's all over, done. you know it ain't fantasy 'cuz in this movie the heroes are dead the bad dudes won 'the end' is written in red. my girlfriend stepped on outta here. never said stop, chance she got was wicked good. woulda gone too, yeah life was hollywood. didn't want us to end... 'all over the city things looking pretty' today's newspaper said. it's all bullshit lies, yo the headlines are fixed, know the story before it's read. my 'problem'... got addicted young, used everything i found but lately stopped. every night, safe at home scratched till i was numb getting it all out, down, my music, my poems. one day i'm gonna get free go to a mountain get high right up to the goddamn top gotta get outta the city to the ocean see a sky that never seems to stop
